Here is the next part of the process…

Wet the clothes before putting them into the washing machine.

Pre-dissolve the dye mix with salt(for cotton) and vinegar (for silk, wool or nylon) if required with hot water.  I cut the top off a milk bottle as I don’t want to reuse the bucket I mix dye in.  For a stirrer I use a chopstick that may have lost it’s mate or is looking past it.
