Has your food shopping changed in the last 5 years? Do you seek out milk that comes from a specific farm, like Maleny milk? Do you choose to buy organic and or free range eggs because you like to know that the chickens are happy and healthy? What about fairtrade coffee and chocolate? Australian garlic over Chinese imported garlic? If you have been buying food with a conscience, then watch out, because thankfully for the planet, clothing is the next step.
I like to think that creating a sustainable, ethical closet is growing your own ‘green closet’. But there are so many choices to make and your options can make it seem like there are too many obstacles to leap over that we can become overwhelmed and anxious just to go shopping. Gee its not meant to be like that.
Join me for an afternoon session guiding you towards growing your own green closet – your way. We will work through what a green closet looks like to you. Then using high quality pre-loved items, combined with locally produced clothes and accessories (that are for sale after the event), I will help you see how to be stylishly ethical with only a few items in your closet.
I have some up-cycling and refashioning ideas to show you. Plus advice on some great books to help you get started to continue your journey towards growing your own green closet.
You will leave the event with fresh eyes to go home and look at your current closet in a new light, enthusiasm to embrace a sustainable & ethical closet and to shop with purpose.
There are limited tickets, so the workshop can be beneficial to those who attend.
